The secret of happiness is freedom, and the secret of freedom is courage.
As we celebrate Independence Day and enjoy the many freedoms we have been afforded due to the bravery and sacrifice of many, let’s send up a “Thank you” to each person that has given us this right, throughout the years. We thank the soldiers and their families, and we thank the men and women who have stood their ground on our home soil to afford us the right to vote, work, own a business, and so many other opportunities we have.
To me, July is a time when you can look back at the first half of the year, just as we look forward to the rest of the year ahead of us and grow as we move forward. Our lives are changing daily and there never seems to be enough hours in a day to accomplish all the things we pile on a never-ending “to do” list. I recently realized that I missed taking the time to ride down a country road with green trees creating a canopy over the two-lane road leading to my destination, while blasting my tunes and just taking a breath. My mind can settle down and the creative juices flow as the sunshine and fresh air rejuvenate me and I reach a new level of energy and excitement for life. While I love being surrounded by my family, I also love the sound of a gentle breeze rustling the bright green leaves or watching the seagulls glide along the tops of the waves at the beach on a sunny day. I can kick off my shoes and feel the warm earth beneath my feet and become grounded again – and realize why I love and enjoy life so. It’s good to take a step back from time to time and just breathe.
My saying lately has been that we are a positive publication; something we have aimed for since the beginning. We believe good can be found in anything if you look hard enough and take the right approach to see a solution and not a problem. While we all make choices in life, and we all have opinions, they are our choices and our opinions. Both of which should not always be shared with others in a way that says one person’s opinion is more valued than another person’s opinion – they are equally important. Take the time to share your happiness, your freedoms, and be proud of the courage it takes for you to stand up and do what is right.
Thank you to our readers, our advertisers, and to everyone that is involved in helping to make ARRAY happen each and every month. Each of you are greatly valued and appreciated!
Happiness should be shared!
